Isabella is a doctoral candidate in School Psychology at North Carolina State University with a strong interest in understanding individuals across different stages of development and within the context of their families, schools, and broader environments. She earned her bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Ghana and her Master of Science degree in Psychology from NC State University. Her academic and clinical training has continued to build on her interest in psychology and human development, providing her with experience in psychological assessment, consultation, and supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families. Her clinical experience includes autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning and cognitive differences, behavioral and social-emotional concerns, and developmental challenges. She is also interested in working with adults navigating life transitions, emotional and behavioral concerns, and other challenges that may affect their well-being. She has experience contributing to comprehensive evaluations and working to understand each individual's unique strengths, needs, and areas of difficulty.

Isabella views assessment as more than simply identifying a diagnosis. She believes that a comprehensive evaluation should provide a deeper understanding of an individual's strengths, challenges, developmental history, and unique circumstances, while offering practical recommendations that can support meaningful growth and functioning. When working with children, she values collaboration with parents, educators, and other professionals to ensure that recommendations are practical and responsive to the individual's needs. With adults, she strives to create a supportive environment in which they feel heard, respected, and comfortable discussing their experiences and goals. Isabella takes a warm, collaborative, and person-centered approach to her work. She believes that people are more than a diagnosis or a set of test scores and that effective psychological care begins with understanding the whole person. She is particularly interested in the ways developmental experiences, family relationships, school and work environments, and individual strengths shape psychological well-being. Her goal is to help individuals and families better understand themselves and identify strategies that support their functioning and overall well-being.

Isabella is committed to continuing to grow as a psychologist and expanding her clinical knowledge and skills across the lifespan. She approaches her work with curiosity, empathy, and a genuine appreciation for the opportunity to learn from each individual and family she works with. She hopes to create a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered as they navigate their unique experiences and goals.
